From 1986 to 2009, Ballet Florida performed in several theatres throughout Palm Beach County. When the Kravis Center for the performing Arts was built in 1992, it became the home of Ballet Florida, Palm Beach County's resident ballet company. It was also the year of the Original Ballet Florida's WORLD PREMIERE* of Marie Hale's The Nutcracker with 12 consecutive SOLD OUT performances! Ballet Florida also performed many shows for the Kravis Center's Educational Department’s S*T*A*R* Series presented by the Kravis Center's Educational Department both in Dreyfoos Hall and The Rinker Playhouse

● The Duncan Theatre at Palm Beach State College (Lake Worth, Florida)
● The Eissey Theatre at Palm Beach State College (Palm Beach Gardens, Florida)
● Dreyfoos Hall at The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts (West Palm Beach , Florida), and the Rinker Playhouse at the Kravis Center for some outreach performances.
Ballet Florida also brought yearly educational outreach performances to children in various theatres, schools, libraries auditoriums and cafeterias, malls, and even at the Palm Beach Zoo (several times).
Ballet Florida also presented children's outreach programs and master classes to thousands of children and dance students all over the Country while on tour around the State, and Country.
Over the years, Marie Hale's The Nutcracker was presented free-of-charge to over 30,000 children of the under-served community! Ballet Florida also offered tickets given for free or dramatically discounted prices for other productions to thousands of children and adults who otherwise could not afford to attend quality professional dance performances!
* Ballet Florida presented Marie Hale's The Nutcracker in over eight SOLD OUT preview performances in Tampa, Florida at the now, Starz Center for the Performing Arts before it's PREMIER in West Palm Beach!
Ballet Florida started touring the first year it opened. From large performing arts venues to playhouses and universities, the company toured Nationally to over 27 states. From Florida to Maine on the east coast through the Mid-West, South West, West, and all the way the way to California. While on the road, the Company brought mixed bills, full-length ballets, and children's productions.
The Company participated in the Apsen Dance Festival performing Cinderella (including outreach in schools and libraries), The Hispanic Festival in New York featuring works by Vicente Nebrada, and a Renaissance Festival in Colorado Springs featuring the full-length presentation of Romeo and Juliet. Another special tour was booked throughout West Virginia featuring works of Mr. Nebrada which was sponsored by that State.
Ballet Florida was chosen to represent the United States at the International Dance Festival in Biarritz in 1999. In a 2001, the Company was chosen again for the second time to present the WORLD PREMIERE of The Stone Flower by internationally known choreographer Thierry Malandain. Before Ballet Florida, it was unheard of for an American company to be chosen twice to perform at the Festival. During both times the Company received standing ovations and critical acclaim by the foreign press from all over Europe!
In March of 2002, the Company spent an historic week at the Joyce Theatre in New York City. The New York Times said, "From Reeboks to pointe shoes, Ballet Florida has something for everyone."
The Original Ballet Florida created its long lasting Legacy not only in Florida, the Nation but all over the world, as well!
