ARTISTS OF BALLET FLORIDA: 1986 - 2009

Ballet Florida dancers consisted of the finest talent from around the world, including:  Australia, Canada, Brazil, Chile,  China, Cuba,  France, Japan, Israel, Russia, Spain, Venezuela, and the United States of America. These dancers also performed as  guest artists all over the world representing Ballet Florida. Two dancers (Tina Martins and Markus Shaffer) were invited to perform a pas de deux  from Mauricio Wainrot's Rite of Spring at the Bolshoi Theatre.

Most dancers stayed with the Original Company for a very long time because of the positive work environment created by Marie Hale. They also had the chance to dance the incredible repertoire created by the world's foremost choreographers!

When the Original Company closed in 2009, many dancers went on to perform major roles as members of other companies, while others went to various places throughout the world to teach, become ballet master/mistresses, and/or went into administrative  Some opened their own companies, and reputable schools. Original Ballet Florida dancers have even made a mark in the dance world as known choreographers.
